Cooking, renovations and politics dominate Tuesday night’s television ratings
Reality contests and the ousting of Kevin Rudd dominated Tuesday night’s TV ratings.
Ten’s cooking competition Masterchef attracted an overnight metro audience of just under 1.1m, while Seven home renovation show House Rules rated just over 1m, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTAM. Masterchef also won the night in the key advertising demographics of 16-36, 18-49 and 25-54.
On the ABC, the second episode of The Killing Season, detailing the events that led up to Kevin Rudd’s overthrow as Prime Minister by Julia Gillard, rated 968,000.
Nine’s House Rules spoiler Reno Rumble rated 719,000 while the network’s period drama Love Child rated 772,000.
NITV 0.0%? Margin of error?
Hi Peter,
NITV often draws an audience than does not appear in Oztam ratings. See story here: https://staging.mumbrella.com.au/sbs-boss-oztam-ratings-unscientific-underestimate-size-nitv-audience-262848

Who watches NITV though? They repeat programmes so many times it’s not funny, unless you’re a tv zombie. They’ve repeated Rabbit Proof Fence 6 times this year and Marley Africa Roadtrip 8 times already. I suspect their low audience figure is about right despite what NITV say.
cry me a river kev!
@Viwerer. Ever watched a film on 7, 9 or 10? ‘Repeat’ is the rings true there my friend.
