Telstra accused of homophobia
Telstra has been accused of running a homophobic advertising campaign after airing a TVC featuring two men getting up to nocturnal shenanigans in a tent.
Campaigner Andrew James complained that the BWM ad – in which the two men turn out to be watching their Next G mobile TV under the covers, relies on their relief at not being gay for the punchline.
Meanwhile a Telstra spokesman said the company was “not in a position to get into a discussion about the ads.”
