Telstra’s Kristen Boschma to head Haystac’s new social media unit
PR agency Haystac has launched a digital offering to be headed by Telstra’s social media supremo Kristen Boschma.
Boschma, head of online communications and social media at Telstra, will lead Haystac’s newly formed specialist digital and social media unit.
Haystac is part of Aegis Media following the purchase of the Mitchell Communication Group. Haystac has also announced the opening of an office in Brisbane alongside its established operations in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Singapore.
And Tabitha Fairbairn has been named GM of the Sydney office.
Big news! Congratulations Haystac and Kristen. I have had the pleasure of seeing/hearing Kristen speak at a number of PR/Social Media events and she’s fantastic.
I also think there will be a few Brisbane PR agencies reading this and worrying… In my opinion, it’s about time Brisbane agencies got serious about consumer work and the potential to do it better. As an ex-Brisbane agency person it’s frustrating that it has taken an interstate agency to see the opportunity and grab it. Existing agencies will certainly need to up the ante.
