Ten announces Trial By Kyle will air October 24

Trial By Kyle pulled 385,000 viewers on its premiere night, and will return next year
Ten has finally announced the air date for Kyle Sandilands’ Trial By Kyle. The show will appear on screens October 24 at 8:30pm, fronted by radio personality Sandilands and featuring ex-Bachelor winner Anna Heinrich.
A pilot episode of the program was launched as part of Ten’s first Pilot Week in 2018 and drew 385,000 metro viewers.

Trial By Kyle will return to screens at the end of October
In the format, Sandilands acts as a ‘judge’ in the style of Judge Judy, with the release for the first season promising decisions in cases such as “a bro-code on sleeping with your mate’s ex-girlfriend”, “an adopted greyhound conundrum that can only be solved by a pet psychic”, and a “Torres Strait Islander accusing an adult entertainer of using a didgeridoo as a beer bong”.
There are also celebrity guests promised in the form of Studio 10 host Denise Dysdale, Love Island and I’m A Celebrity star Justin Lacko, and singer Shannon Noll.
“Trial By Kyle dishes out unique forms of justice on real disputes. The plaintiffs and defendants better plead their case carefully… just because the law is on their side doesn’t mean that Kyle will be. All parties involved have signed an arbitration agreement stating that the show’s ruling is final and Kyle’s verdict must be upheld,” reads the release.
Sandilands has previously appeared on Ten as a host of Australian Idol, a role he was sacked from in 2009 after a radio segment which saw a 14-year-old girl attached to a lie detector say she had been sexually assaulted.
Sandilands has also appeared as a host on Ten’s final season of Big Brother and on Kyle and Jackie O’s Night With The Stars on Seven.
Sandiands recently courted more drama thanks to his radio presence, saying on his Kiis FM breakfast program, which he hosts with Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, that the Virgin Mary was a “liar” who was “chock-a-blocked” behind a camel shed and calling the Bible “dumb as dogshit”. He has since apologised for those comments.
Sandilands and Henderson have the number one FM breakfast program in Sydney with an 11.6% share.
wow this should be sh#t house.
It was a ‘barker’ of a pilot and promises to be no better in a series.
I predict a massive flop and will not achieve its original pilot numbers.
The punters won’t like it one bit!
Unlikeable dated man in unlikeable dated format.
Exactly the kind of show that Ten needs to move away from.
This’ll be worth missing …
Wow, talk about double standards. The guy insults all Christians by being rude and not only keeps his job but gets his own show. Channel ten, you always maintained low standards and this proves it.
Not to mention the fact that the show sounds like a dumb idea.
I’m predicting about 500k(metro) viewers on first episode. Later down to 300k.
IMHO … anything involving Kyle is a trial.
Goodbye morals for entertainment
Denise Drysdale…
Does Kyle still exist? Because channel 10 certainly doesn’t…
