Ten gets ‘playful’ with Bingle and The Living Room
Ten has announced two new commissions – a reality show featuring former Tourism Australia ambassador Lara Bingle and The Living Room, “a brand new take on lifestyle” – in what it describes as a move to a more “playful” schedule.
Being Lara Bingle has been commissioned from Eyeworks, the company behind Gangs of Oz and Calgoorlie Cops. The Living Room is from WTFN whose other shows include Ten’s Bondi Vet and Keeping Up With The Joneses.
According to Ten’s announcement on the Bingle series:
“She’s young, beautiful, and famous. One of the most “Googled” names in Australia, Lara Bingle invites us into her life in this access-all-areas observational documentary series that will take us behind-the-scenes of her private life for the very first time.
Great, another “reality” show about another empty, vapid person famous for nothing other than getting famous.
I’m not an expert on anything, and I’m happy to admit that I have an IQ of 45, so why is it so obvious to me, and no one else, that this Bingle exploitation piece will be shelved two weeks after its debut?
Channel Ten must be desperate if they’re willing to hitch themselves to the Lara Bingle wagon. I give it three weeks before it’s cancelled. By the way Kalgoorlie is spelt with a ‘K’ not a ‘C’
“The Living Room is from WTFN” – Does that stand for What The Fuck Network?
Don’t bet on Bingle being bundled out in 2 weeks.
The Kardashians started with a sex tape and grew into a phenomen – maybe Bingle will too, but somehow me doubts it.
Like Amanda keller – always good to see her on the tele or on the radio
Two questions –
1. Most googled because she is talented and people are always wanting to know what interesting things she will do next, or because she got her gear off on more than one occasion?
2. How does one watch a television show when one’s ears are bleeding?
