Nigella Lawson and Gogglebox hand Ten rare nightly win
Nigella Lawson’s final appearance on this season of Masterchef helped Channel Ten to a rare nightly win last night, pulling an audience share of 19.8%.
Its biggest programs were Masterchef, pulling 1.111m metro viewers at 7:30pm which was also the top show for the night, the following Masterclass episode which pulled 854,000, and Gogglebox, which pulled a steady 530,000 despite airing in the later 9:40pm timeslot.

Nigella Lawson’s final episode saw Masterchef become last night’s top-rating show.
Both were also the most popular programs across the advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54) according to OzTam overnight ratings.
A lot less metro viewers than last year. They thought celebrity “chefs”, would bring in more viewers. They might need a different “chef”. Heston Blumenthal brought in more viewers.
“fight back against readers”…now there’s a great strategy!
