Ten’s The Shire falls out of top 50
On another miserable night of TV viewing for Ten, Can of Worms was its top non-news show, rating with just 582,000 – and ranking 19th.
Much hyped dramality show The Shire, now in a later 9.45pm time slot, fell out of the top 50 altogether. It rated with 204,000 on the night.
Ten’s most watched show last night was Ten News at Five, which pulled in 742,000.
The failure of The Shire to rate makes me have some faith in the Australian viewing public. But then again, Big Brother isn’t doing too badly 😛
Yes agree with The Internetz, it gives you faith that the Australian viewing public are fed up with these crap cheap reality programmes…it will be interesting to see if Big Brother keeps rating…
Long may programmes like Four Corners continue – their report on research into Autism was excellent & gives hope to many parents with autistic children..
Found QandA a disappointment last night and of course Germaine wasn’t interested in anyone else getting a word in- even though Tony asked her for short answers..
‘Go Back to Where You Came From’ should rate well tonight.
Well said internetz. The Shire made me ashamed to be Australian for a plenitude of reasons, one being that people actually watched this intellect eroding pus. Programs of this kind continually push me to disconnect my antenna and only use Apple TV.
