The advertisement currently on television channels showing a young person stating:
“As a first time investor, Terry Scheer provides me with the confidence I need” or words to that effect.
In the current form, it appears that Terry Scheer is the first-time investor, This is a common mistake in English expression. Please try to change it so that criticism does not fall on the advertiser.
This is discordant, and should read:
Terry Scheer provides me, as a first-time investor, with the confidence etc.”
This would show that the provider is not the investor.
