The Amazing three-way ratings race

Monday night’s competitive three-way battle between Ten’s Masterchef, Nine’s new British airport comedy Come Fly With Me and Seven’s blockbuster reality contest The Amazing Race gave all three networks something to boast about.

Masterchef won the night with 1.571m viewers according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam, although the rest of the Ten schedule failed to match it.

Come Fly With Me’s 1.488m was one of Nine’s best performing shows of the year, which was all the more impressive considering the competition it had and the failure of other Nine comedies to find an audience.

And The Amazing Race averaged 1.258m for Seven, but ran for most of the evening and was strong in the key advertising demographics.
