The Block dominates while Formal Wars flops

Nine dominated a slow Thursday night’s television viewing, with The Block rating 1.372m metro viewers and highlights show The Block Unlocked rating 1.146m.

Seven’s only programme to rate more than 1m viewers was Seven News, which rated 1.143m. Reality show Formal Wars – hosted by Winners & Losers star Melanie Vallejo – rated just 676,000.

Ten’s best performer was News At Five which rated 664,000 while Masterchef rated 492,000.

Both Formal Wars and Masterchef were outperformed by an ABC1 episode of Catalyst on the chemistry of attraction which rated 705,000, according to the overnight OzTAM ratings.
