The Chase Australia pips AO quarter finals on Tuesday

The Chase Australia on Seven stole the spotlight on Tuesday night, topping entertainment with 508,000 metro viewers. However, Nine won the night.
Home and Away on Seven aired to 472,000 metro viewers. It is followed by Nine’s Australian Open’s day nine matches. The second and the first night session aired to 449,000 and 438,000 metro viewers.
Last night’s matches saw Jessica Pegula (USA) playing against Victoria Azarenka (Russia) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) against Jiri Lehecka (Czech Republic). Azarenka and Tsitsipas were both successful and progressed to the next round.
Seven’s Big Bash League game between Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide brought in 334,000 metro viewers. Ten’s The Bachelors followed next in entertainment, with 299,000 metro viewers tuned in to the show.
The Chase at 5pm brought in 298,000 metro audience, while Australian Open’s late and pre-match session attracted respectively 283,000 and 280,000 metro viewers.
However, the #1 program on Tuesday was Seven News which aired to 946,000 metro viewers, while Seven News had 933,000 metro viewers. Nine News drew in 682,000 metro viewers and Nine News at 6:30 brought in 679,000.
Australian Open’s night session two topped the key demo of 16-39s, but Seven News at 6:30 won the 18-49s and 25-54s.
Nine Network claimed an overall win with a 31.8% share, closely followed by Seven with 30%, Ten with 14.5% and ABC with 13.8%.
The top-rated primary channel on Monday was Nine with a 23.5% share, but the top-rated multichannel on Tuesday was 7Two with 3.7%.
In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 17 January, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.423 million viewers, including 35,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.
The program with the biggest uplift was Ten’s The Bachelors on Tuesday with an uplift of 52% and had a total of 585,000 viewers, and BVOD audience of 147,000 nationally.
