The Human Co’s Courtney Robertson and Gambol’s Camey O’Keefe’s ‘Spring Fling’ is back

‘Spring Fling’, a “not networking, networking” event hosted by The Human Co’s Courtney Robertson and Gambol’s Camey O’Keefe’s, is back for round two on February 28 in Melbourne.

Spring Fling, where consultants, founders, and entrepreneurs come together to share experiences, spark ideas, and discover new ways to grow together, is back! After a hugely successful launch round two will be held on Friday, February 28 at The Cluster in Melbourne.

Two independent consultants saw an opportunity to bring together Melbourne’s growing indie business scene and launched Spring Fling, it is not your typical name-badge networking event. It’s more an informal gathering of like minded people beneting from shared experience, knowledge, war stories, wins and new ways to work together to unlock growth.

Created by co-founder of The Human Co Courtney Robertson and Gambol’s Camey O’Keefe, they saw a huge benet when they connected after starting their own businesses and wanting to grow that opportunity for others.

“When you’re running your own business, you really value having other people to bounce ideas off,” Robertson says. “From finding the best social media tools to figuring out which AI tool is really worth trying – or just getting a reality check about what to do with your tax receipts – it’s great having a community to share the journey with.”

“Going out on my own after 20 plus years in agencies was a trip. This sudden flip from being recognised as the grown up / expert in the room to being a total novice in certain areas is a particular kind of whiplash. Having someone to share the ups and downs of running your own business goes a long way to softening any shock to the system,” O’Keefe says. “We figured other indie business owners might be looking for that same kind of peer support.”

“After our first event, we’ve had people telling us about all sorts of collaborations that have kicked off,” O’Keefe says. “It’s such a buzz seeing these genuine connections turn into real projects.”
