The Killing Season pulls big numbers to beat Love Child as Masterchef rules again

ABC’s anticipated documentary about the turmoil of the Labor Party in the Rudd/Gillard years performed strongly last night and dominated its 8.30pm timeslot against Nine’s Love Child.

The show got 986,000 viewers from 8.30pm – 9.30pm and was the fifth most-watched overall on the night, although it failed to crack the top five in any of the key advertiser demographics according to OzTam’s overnight metro ratings.

Love Child sipped back to 770,000 viewers from 859,000 last week and was fourth in all the advertiser demographics, while Masterchef on Ten won the demos and the night up slightly on last week to 1.136m viewers from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
