Then demonstrate the value – this is just more pointless big number posturing. Anyone can get a bunch of numbers and put them next to icons.
The value of a YouTube view when translated into Facebook and Twitter currency is demonstrated quite clearly here Shamna. Anyone can remove part of a statement from its context and then question its integrity.
Different take on a popular infographic. Love the design. Interesting that % of shares per user on Twitter is much higher than FB…
I’m kind of siding with Shamma here for a couple of reasons:
Liking/disliking/commenting just means a viewer is an “engaged YouTube user”, which is one of the risks on throwing a bunch of numbers into the faux authority of an infographic. I would argue that sharing is definitely a form of engagement.
And seeing as Tim can’t figure out that the % of Twitter shares are actually lower than on FB according to several of the stats stated, this infographic isn’t really doing its job :/
It does look nice though.
