The X Factor hits year-high note with Gangnam Style

Mel B and Psy go Gangnam style

Seven’s singing competition The X Factor had its best ratings result of 2012 last night.

The show rated 1.665m, according to preliminary OzTam ratings, edging it just over its previous best of 1.662m from September 11th.

The elimination show, which saw soul vocalist Angel Tupai sent home, included K-Pop singer and cultural phenomenon du jour Psy perform his song Gangnam Style dance with former Spice Girl Mel B.
