Thor: Ragnarok collects more than $10m in earnings at first weekend box office, while Suburbicon struggles

New Marvel film Thor: Ragnarok soared to number one at the weekend box office, collecting more than $10m in earnings across 781 screens.

The latest film produced by Marvel Studios is the sequel to 2011’s Thor and 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba and Jeff Goldblum.
