Thursday night AFL helps Seven surge ahead in TV

Thursday night’s clash between the Richmond Tigers and the Hawthorn Hawks has helped Seven to a convincing TV ratings win, bringing in 624,000 metro viewers across its various showings and 827,000 nationally.

The AFL game was shown on Seven’s main channel in Melbourne and Adelaide and on multi-channel 7mate in the other states. In Melbourne alone, 398,000 metro viewers tuned in for the match while 94,000 watched in Adelaide.
