Tim Gilbert confirms departure from Today Show

What a load of crap if it was a all male panel it would be frowned upon n they would be disgraced it is a horrible time to be a female.the females from the past who fought for Equality would be turning in their graves. Women these days don’t want equal rights they want it all..im so thankful I was bought up in the 80s/90s..

Karl has gone.he made me laugh each morning when i was down, we all make mistakes. You have mussed the point as to why people have stopped watching the to.day show. It is everything repeated from what was on the news. The mony draw you now only have three rings not time to even get to the phone. We lost Sylvia loved her. And now Tim he was a part of the show that made it.I will support the show for awhile till i see what happens. You diden’t need a new crew you needed a new program.

Don’t think its going to be the same, all the fun loving people have gone.

Today show should be better will see … steve jacobs should be permanant weather man…
However not going to miss stephanovics one bit could net get into their humour and they were all laxadaisy like the world owed them everything… ego ego ego ………

Used to like Karl but got way to big for his boots . But can’t understand how everyone else got the boot I don’t think it’s going to work with all girls we do like to hear a mans point of view on things, why get rid of Tim he is a lovely family man has a great sense of humour without being rude and doesn’t spend half the show laughing at his own jokes like Karl

The show is nothing without Amber Sherlock – her and Deb Knight would be funny as.

Big mistake to let Tim go. 2 females that are a bit stiff won’t work either. Mornings need energy – bring back Steve Jacobs too. What a mess to change the whole crew and drip feed the changes. When Kochie starts to look like a better option there’s a problem!

Forgive them, for they know not what they do. I must say that they flew the whole shooting match by the seat of their pants before, knowing little and making it up as they went along, but switching gels and dousing spot fires got them through until the ego gremlins and the germs of greed evolved and started eating the project from within.

Now the executive, pleased with itself at banishing the villainous celebrity junkies and the naive, have embraced PC and gender balance, mistaking them for the new idea and the road to Nirvana.

Fortunately, theatre is like Shakespeare and Mozart, no matter how wrong you get it, or how badly you play it, you can’t kill it completely.

I watch the today show everyday i must say i won’t miss karl but having deborah knight there is wrong she is cold a d stiff and very sorry to see tim gilbert go bring him back reconsider the options

Very disapointed in 2019 panel selection!
Carl is apart of the makings of this show along with Dicky and Timmy!
You need a male and female objective to keep all demographics happy…
You will lose the people who like cheek and fun as I don’t think the personalities chosen are strong enough to keep it happening (and not spontaneous enough in comments). I love Georgie and, Deb is amazing but too many changes will see more of a decline in viewers.
If this was all to save half a million on Lisa’s package was it really worth it!
Bring Karl and the original crew back!!

Timmy will be a big loss, I am certainly a big supporter of his. Extremely funny and lively personality, it’s refreshing to see your average Australian get a run on a major show.
Sorry, Today Show you have just lost an viewer for your poorly rated show. I really couldn’t care about Karl and the others, but Timmy, you have gone too far.
Good luck with Georgie, I don’t think I have ever seen her laugh without it being on cue.

Tim it is a real shame that 9 don’t appreciate your worth.
I have always enjoyed your clear and concise sports reports and the lovable sense of humour.
Nines bad decision is Australian morning programs loss.
Often switched to Sunrise when Karl was being his usual idiotic self, certainly no loss there.
Overall some of the changes to the Today show were necessary but competent presenters as Tim should have been retained. He really proved his worth during the current summer break should have told management that quality is what’s counts.

I agree with Chris De Laine, Deb and Georgie are nice but trying to come across as hard hitting interviewers only appear rude and full of themselves. I watched last year and both while asking questions wouldn’t give the guest time to answer before jumping down there throats about the ques. I think it has gone too far with women’s lib. Plenty of other channels to watch.

Iam sorry to see Tim go I think he is a good humble man very funny a real Aussie hope he gets back on tv elsewhere

Karl was great Yes over the top but REAL .. Georgie great but Deb K ….really … you have messed with too much 9 .. and my God I can’t stand Koshie so lots of us are screwed

I watch the show because of Karl, Timmy & Sylvia…when Lisa left.. I was sad… and now .. oh no ! This is the only program l watch every morning …

I used to love waking up with today but it’s boring now , the new reporter’s don’t have the same sense of humour and compassion that Karl and his family had .I didn’t like what Karl did to his own family , but it seems you’ve made all the other crew suffer too. It’s so sad you’ve got rid of all of them , so you’ve lost me as a viewer

Wow. Considering no-one watches FTA TV anymore its remarkable how a little talent change like this makes for one of the most discussed and involved topics since the start of the year. So strange.

Karls ego exit was a good move, two girls at the helm, is not completely good, we need a balance there, was so impressed with stevie out in the field, can not think why he is not still there, but the biggest mistake was Tim Gilbert, spend the money and sign him up, this show will only go down hill.

I miss Karl and the others the show is so boring I will never watch channel 9 again it has gone down hill since they got rid of Karl Lisa Sylvia tim and Pete I will not watch the today again it is to boring they should get rid of the people running the today show

Have given new line up a chance, don’t seem to click, comes across as forced humour. Big shame Tim has been removed from the today show line up as well.
His humour and genuine caring for viewers is something that will be missed.
Not a fan of Sam and Kochie but looks like that’s were I will be heading for early morning entertainment.

Today show is now extremely boring. Bring back Karl and Tim and Dicky. No longer watching. At the moment I turn it off as I wouldn’t watch Kochie either.
