Today Network stations promise to give ‘That Feeling’
This Sunday, a series of campaigns will break to promote Austereo’s Today Network radio stations. ‘That Feeling’ is the line used to push Melbourne’s FOX FM, Brisbane’s B105, Adelaide station SAFM and Perth’s 92.9.
‘That Feeling’ is “the somewhat indescribable emotion that’s evoked when listening to Today Network stations”, read a press release from Austereo.
The company’s head of marketing and communications, Nikki Clarkson said: “The Today Network thrives on offering the hottest shows and music to listeners so the concept of ‘That Feeling’ was to be fresh, energetic and reflective of the enormity of the talent.”
The campaign consists of 30 and 15-second TV spots in Melbourne (above), Brisbane (below), Adelaide and Perth. Outdoor, print, online and social media activity will run in support.

All I took away from that ad was that Hamish has cut his hair.
Talk about overpromise. You think you’re going to tune into Fox and hear Hamish and Andy and all you get is the horrible Fifi & Jules show.

i think it’s either blindingly ballsy or just asking for trouble when Austereo and Nikki Clarkson openly talk to market about “the somewhat indescribable emotion that’s evoked when listening to Today Network stations”.
Because most would say “that feeling” sits somewhere between the mild hum of a coma induced by the confederacy of dunces and halfwits that the Today network insists upon having scream at us on our way to work, and the sheer horror of realising that this is what the standard of content has sunk to in Australia.
This is meaningless marketing blab.
