Tom Gleeson wins TV Week Gold Logie as ABC scoops 11 awards

Tom Gleeson’s campaign to win the TV Week Gold Logie has paid off, with the host of Hard Quiz being crowned the most popular personality on Australian television.

In his acceptance speech, Gleeson said “I really think we should all lighten the fuck up, I really do”.

Well the public has shown that the ABC has the best content. If only our government could park their ideology and see that as well. I guess ScoMo will be seeing red … because the ABC is full of them apparently

Maybe an efficiency dividend of reversing the most recent round of cuts would be appropriate so as to not slide down into the dross of the other commercial broadcasters who obviously trousered their reduction in broadcast licencing fees because it sure wasn’t reflected in their content.
