Tradie body wash ad discontinued for use of boombox in a bathtub

An ad for Tradie body wash has been discontinued after consumers expressed concerns about the possibility of electrocution caused by a man pulling a boom box from under the water in a bathtub.

The complaints were lodged to the industry watchdog Ad Standards, with particular focus on the possibility for young people to copy the use of a stereo in the bath that requires power from an outlet instead of a battery.

The ad features comedic duo, The Inspired Unemployed, in the bath together. As one washes his hair the other produces the boom box from the water.
