Triple M to go live in Perth
Triple M announced today they will broadcast live next month for the first time across Perth on digital radio.
The announcement:
Triple M, the Network renowned as the home of real rock music and Australia’s biggest sporting events is going west! On September 2, Triple M will go live across Perth for the very first time, on digital radio.
With a strong heritage of playing the best rock music over the past 33 years, Triple M will play real rock, no exceptions, all day long. It’s Perth’s newest radio station, bringing with it a real music alternative.

Wasn’t triple M playing in Perth in the late 80s/ early 90s? Wouldn’t that make it a “return” to Perth?
Or was it never “live” before?
Or was it a different entity, also called triple M?
