Public trust in Australian media falls to all-time low
Public trust in the media has hit an all-time low, new polling by Essential Research suggests.
The 2017 results of Essential’s Trust In Media survey suggests that among the media that have seen the biggest decline in trust since the annual survey began are daily newspapers. ABC TV has also seen a fall.
No surprise …
Compare the standard of all media forms of 20 years ago to now. So much content has been dumbed-down and sensationalised.
Genuine investigative journalism is an endangered species and opinion rules the roost.
Sad decline for the industry and community.
the Liberal government’s destruction of the ABC is criminal
it will take a lot of dedicated and well intentioned work to restore significant support for our compassionate and progressive society and an informed and engaged democracy
