Monday blues for third placed Ten
Ten had a tough Monday night with only one show pulling in more than a million viewers as the network lost every timeslot across the night.
The 7pm Project continued to struggle with just 723,000 viewers, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam, well behind Seven’s Home And Away and Nine’s Two And A Half Men which were both on about 1.3m each.
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? fared little better for Ten, with only just over 900,000, compared to 1.5m for Nine’s second episode of Two And A Half Men and 1.3m for Seven’s On Board Air Force One documentary.
Good News Week was also third in its slot with 1m viewers compared to 1.3m for Seven’s City Homicide and 1.1m for The Farmer Wants A Wife, which Nine would have also found disappointing. However Ten would have taken consolation from Good News Week’s 41.1% share in the 16-39 demographic.
I think you mean Monday…
This in response to Dexter:
Any fan of Dexter with a decent internet connection would have been able to download the latest season of Dexter last year. Also the latest season just hit the video rental floor.
Why would fans bother waiting for Ten to put their favourite show on broadcast or in fact any television station for that matter when their tv series are accessible in a number of different channels.
Its not alarming that Dexter was a let down for Tens ratings, they have held on to it for too long and packed their programming with yet another reality tv show upon show.
