Inside Story wins over 1m for Nine as The Biggest Loser sheds viewers again
Chanel Nine won over 1m viewers for the launch of its new primetime investigation show Inside Story, winning its timeslot at 8.40pm as Seven’s The Blacklist fell slightly to 940,000 preliminary overnight metro ratings show.
The real-life crime investigation show hosted by Leila Mckinnon, a reporter on Nine News, A Current Affair and host of Weekend Today, started with an episode about people who publicly cry for help when a loved one goes missing, but are later implicated in their disappearance. The show was announced in Nine’ upfronts last year.
Nine launched it at 8.40pm after taking its highest Wednesday night ratings for The Block: Unlocked this series featuring footage from the wedding of returning contestants Brad and Lara.
Meanwhile Ten had it’s lowest rating yet for The Biggest Loser this year, with 319,000 viewers across the five cities falling 29th in all programs.
How did ABC’s Wednesday night fair? I know Ten is tanking but what about the Moody’s? How low did it go?
Hi James,
Thanks for your note – apologies for my oversight – I’ve updated the story!
