TV Week pulls Most Popular Television Commercial category from 2020 Logie Awards
TV Week has dropped the Most Popular Television Commercial category from its 2020 Logie Awards line-up as it grapples with how to proceed with the awards in the face of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
Over the weekend, TV Week’s publisher Bauer Media announced the Awards will still be held “in some form” but “will not proceed as planned”.
At the time, Bauer Media’s group publisher Fiona Connolly said the nominations announcement and online voting will continue as planned, with voting across the ‘Most Popular’ categories expected to begin in May.
Good. It was a rubbish award category anyway.
