UM lands $10m federal campaign for cheaper medicines
The federal government is aiming to promote its prescription charges cut with a new campaign.
The federal government has launched a new campaign promoting capped PBS prescription charges, awarding UM Australia a $10 million contract to run the campaign over the next six months.
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing unveiled a new ad yesterday highlighting the new $25 cap on prescriptions under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) for those with a Medicare card. Ogilvy was commissioned for $283,000 to develop the campaign’s creative.
Marking the third phase of Health’s ongoing cheaper medicines campaign, the latest releases include 30- and 15-second video ads, along with what the department describes as “static advertising”, which largely be posters in health centres, doctors’ offices and shopping centres near pharmacies.
