Clemenger buys Ursa in bid to create bigger health offering

Clemenger Group has bought independent agency Ursa in a move aimed at bolstering the group’s healthcare credentials.

The move will see Ursa merge with Clemenger’s specialised agency CJB (previously Curtis, Jones & Brown). Ursa has specialised in over the counter medicine while CJB’s focus in on prescription pharmeceuticals.

The new entity will be called UrsaClemenger.

Clemenger Group executive chairman Robert Morgan said: “Health and wellness has been a strategic priority for us since the original acquisition of CJB in 1999. Recognising the huge potential of the category, we’re thrilled to be complementing the strength of CJB in the prescription drug space with the skills of Ursa in OTC and health services.
