Viewers choose legal drama over Anh Does Scandinavia as The Block helps Nine win the night
Channel Seven’s launch of its latest incarnation of comedian Anh Do’s international travels got 630,000 metro viewers last night taking a hard fall from the 1m strong launch of the previous series and below ABC1’s premiere of its new legal drama Janet King.
Anh Does Scandinavia was third in the 8.30pm timeslot and 15th in all programs as Janet King, a spin-off of the ABC series Crownies, averaged 824,000. However Anh Do was stronger than Janet King in the 25-54 demographic where it ranked 10th, while the ABC show was 24th.
The ABC also challenged Seven for audience in the 8pm timeslot as The Checkout averaged 762,000, gaining on its launch last week and ranking just behind Border Security’s 776,000 on Seven.
Lovely chap that he seems to be, but how does Anh Do keep getting gigs?
Anh Do keeps getting gigs because his Vietnam special rated 1.67 million. Sure last night didn’t set the world on fire but you can’t win them all. He’s also a best selling author and I imagine brings a broad audience.
Does anyone know what This is Littleton rated? I’m always interested in what new Australian comedy rates, particularly on the digital channels. It doesn’t seem to have been reported anywhere.
