Volley Australia ‘Fuck Off’ poster outlawed for being ‘aggressive’ and ‘offensive’ language
Australian clothing label Volley has had a poster banned by the ad watchdog for using the words “Fuck Off”.
Despite the word ‘fuck’ being partially obscured, the watchdog said the posters displayed around the streets of Melbourne in conjunction with the image of a hand with its middle finger up was “aggressive…strong and obscene”.

Just watched that video above – it was indeed offensive – my eyes are bleeding from watching this unholy celebration of Bondi tossspots.
This feels like the advertising equivalent of when Tony Bennett recorded a disco album in a last ditch effort to remain hip.
Who are they trying to kid …
I saw these posters doing the rounds …. it kinda felt a little desperate to try and be cool with the kids.
It sorta resonated with me for all the wrong reasons.
As a kid I loved Volley. The OCs. The International.
But having just watched that ad I tend to agree … as a brand now, Volley can Fuck Off.
