Wavemaker’s James Boardman becomes national strategy director at Bohemia
M&C Saatchi Group’s media agency Bohemia has hired James Boardman as its national strategy director.
Boardman joins the agency from WPP’s Wavemaker, where he was its national head of strategy across Australia and New Zealand for two years.
Prior to his stint at Wavemaker, Boardman was a director of strategy at insight at MEC. MEC and Maxus later merged to form Wavemaker.
Sophie Price, head of integrated strategy for the M&C Saatchi Group, said in a statement: “We searched locally and internationally to fill this role and James was the standout candidate.
“His reputation precedes him. I’ve been in this biz a long time now and I can honestly say James is one of the smartest, nicest people I’ve ever had the good fortune to work with.
“Together we are going to continue to drive a world-class integrated creative and media offering within the M&C Saatchi Group.”
Boardman added: “After eight fantastic years, it was time for me to take on a new challenge. Bohemia and M&C Saatchi’s offering is the most innovative in the market and I can’t wait to be part of this fascinating, integrated approach to see where we can take it in the coming years.”
