What happens if SCA gets Kyle and Jackie O back?
Ever since Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson left 2Day FM a decade ago, rumours of Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) putting aside big bucks to win back the pair seemed to have become a semi-regular occurrence in media news.
The network reportedly tried to poach the duo with $12 million back in 2015, just 19 months after Sandilands and Henderson defected to the ARN-owned KIIS FM. A little more than six months later, that figure ballooned to $20 million.

ARN’s acquisition of 15% of SCA, and furthermore at a price PREMIUM of 42% is the eyebrow raiser here. Upon hearing this news, Intern Pete may have paused before ordering another magnum of Krug Champagne for K&J’s brunch.
And it’s all about ‘ Controlling Interest’.
Let’s not speculate lest we skate onto defamatory thin ice…….but wouldn’t it be sad if there were no Boards prepared to pay the K&J price premium game.
