Leafing through The Economist is not always a source of merriment where the ads are concerned. Deathly dull corporate statements are standard fare.
So this is a somewhat refreshing change. Dr Mumbo is fairly confident the advertiser is being ironic, but can’t say for sure…

There’s an even better one featuring “what will you do when your child asks you why you didn’t invest in eastern poland?”
My response would mostly be “what the hell do you know about investing in developing countries”
“and also, go to your f*cking room”.
Why didn’t you invest in Eastern Poland?
Do you mean Shoreditch or Hackney?
Three key words in its website speak volumes for the rest of the West’s economy, including Australia’s: ‘cheap working force’.
There’s also one about your therapist asking you why you didn’t invest.
Wow. It really gets your attention then completely discredits the advertiser. Appalling.
