Why did The Tele turn over its stablemate The News of the World (poorly)?
There was a brave, if slightly odd, piece of publishing by Sydney’s Daily Telegraph on Saturday.
The article does not seem to be available in the Telegraph’s online edition, but it carried a full page expose on what life is like as a journalist on British tabloid The News Of The World.
Brave because both papers are part of News Corp (although that wasn’t disclosed to readers), and Murdoch titles don’t usually dump on each other.
Odd for a number of reasons.
What a joke the tele makes itself look
I think 1/2m is close enough to 3m by Telegraph standards.
Strange it isn’t in the online version.
NB you have a typo in the title
Hi anon1,
I wouldn’t read too much into it not being in the online edition. The Saturday & Sunday Tele’s online team appears to take a somewhat laid back approach to getting everything online, compared to their weekday counterparts.
(ta for flagging the typo – sorted).
Cheers,
