Woolworths increases focus on cheap prices in latest ad targeting families
The latest ad from supermarket giant Woolworths shows consumers just how far the family budget can stretch as a father of three is forced to cook for far more visitors than he had initially planned.
Created by M&C Saatchi, the ad sees a dad preparing lunch for his immediate family of five when one of his children runs past him with three friends, who he discovers will be staying for lunch.
They are followed by the man’s teenage son and his friend ‘Hulk’, before the third daughter enters the room with a vegetarian and friend who only eats white meat.
I love these Woolies ads – who is that actor? I think he’s great. I reckon he’s a great role model for any/all dads.
I think the current Woolworths advertisement is terrible. It shows dad carrying bags of groceries going to the car. His three kids were just in the car asking if he remember to get this and that. Why are the kids not helping, instead of sitting in the car listening to music or playing with their phones?
Id like to com plain about your latest ad.,in wnich the same poor sap of a dad.
Here he is again, with two kids, one holding a wierd looking object made of egg cartons, the other is a sneering teenager eating a bowl of what looks like cereal in the car(not a good idea).
I notice that neither of the kids offered to help their dad get the groceries i nto the car. Showing men as idiots yet again. An d kids as super privileged e ntitled beings. Please get rid of tbis ad!!
