M&C Saatchi boss: Woolworths review is ‘perfectly understandable’
Woolworths is reviewing its ad account currently held by M&C Saatchi Sydney, this morning’s Australian Fiancial Review reports.
The review could bring an end a relationship almost a decade old, and covers a budget of around $120m.
A statement from M&C Saatchi chairman Tom Dery, read:
“We have got a great relationship with Woolworths and have done some fantastic work for them over the past nine years.
Yes all big advertising spenders should review their relationships every 5 years at least
will the last one to leave please turn out the lights?
M&C’s senior management are professional gentleman and this comment from Tom Dery reinforces my view that it comes from the top down. All the best with the review.
