Nope. I reckon the pre-roll ads for American channel ABC’s Boston Marathon coverage were the worst. You’d click to watch the initial news footage coming through and BAM! New Star Trek promo which starts with “You think your world is safe?” followed by multiple explosions. Incredibly bad taste and quite unsettling and unexpected. It may just be a stupid sci-fi movie but in that context it was truly awful.

The Balaclava Coles supermarket (in Melbourne) is in an area that’s about 50% Jewish… with many of that 50% quite orthodox.

Poster just inside the entrance to the supermarket has a big photo of a few rashers of pigmeat with the big headline:

BECAUSE WE ALL LIKE BACON

That kind of stupid doesn’t come along all that often.
