WPP AUNZ appoints Kate Walker as group client director
The former founder of WPP AUNZ specialist brand and culture agency Human Kate Walker has been appointed to the newly created role of group client director for WPP AUNZ, in a move to drive horizontal collaboration across the group’s 80 companies.
Walker rejoins the agency network after two years on leave where she lived in France.
She will work with Rob Currie, chief business director and Rose Herceg, chief strategy officer to provide clients with talent from across the group.
“Horizontality strategy”
WTF . . . please can advertising not sound like consulting. Don’t sound like Accenture (or WPP), sound like real world people. In some quarters this is called ‘cutting the bullshit.’ Would be a blessing. And two years leave . . . if the very talented Kate was just appointed to the role, what was she taking leave from? Curious as I want that!
