WPP AUNZ cancels dividend payment as ‘prudent and cautious’ response to COVID-19 uncertainty

WPP AUNZ has cancelled payment of the dividend it announced in its financial results last month, citing the “unprecedented uncertainty as to the impact and duration of the COVID-19 pandemic”.

The decision means the ordinary dividend payment of 2.9c per share will not be paid, in addition to the special dividend payment of 1.5c per share with a record date of 31 March.

WPP is not immune from the effects of the virus
