WPP Media’s national head of digital investment departs

WPP Media’s Deepak Tahiliani has announced his departure after ten years with the holdco.
Tahiliani joined WPP Media — formerly GroupM — in 2015. He spent five years in the Indian office as head of digital media buying and partnerships.
In 2021, he relocated to Sydney, taking on the national head of digital investment gig. He replaced Venessa Hunt, who left for ThinkPremiumDigital.

Tahiliani posted to Linkedin on Tuesday sharing the news.
“It’s hard to put into words what this chapter has meant to me, the brilliant people, bold ideas, and the opportunities to help shape the evolving digital media landscape, not just in 1 but 2 countries both so different in operating styles,” he wrote.
“I’m deeply grateful to my colleagues, clients, and partners across the ecosystem who inspired me daily and challenged me to learn and grow.”
He thanked South Asia CEO Prasanth Kumar and ANZ CEO Aimee Buchanan, as well as the “many talented teams” he worked with.
“Your trust, collaboration, and camaraderie have made this experience truly special. Loads of people to thank who have trusted in me and my working style,” he wrote.
Tahiliani teased that he is “taking a short breather” before starting a new role.
“All I can say is I’m energised about what’s coming and look forward to building something meaningful and impactful for the industry.”
