Yahoo7 news websites jumps to fourth place from seventh in Nielsen news rankings

yahoo7newsYahoo7 news websites was the big mover in the latest Nielsen Digital Ratings (Monthly) ranking, growing its audience by 9% in April month-on-month to climb to fourth spot amongst current affairs and news sites.

In April the site was ranked in seventh spot, with its rise relegating the Daily Mail Australia to fifth position, with Yahoo7 posting an April unique audience of 3.129m up from 2.869m in March.

The Nielsen Digital Ratings (Monthly), launched by digital industry body IAB and Nielsen in March, saw audiences across desktop and mobile devices fused together for the first time.

The Daily Mail Australia saw its unique audience fall from 3.258m in March to 3.112m in April.
