Young cinematographer take internship on Kidman film

The National Film & Sound Archive, in association with the Australian Cinematographers Society will send young cinematographer Jimmy Ennett to complete and internship on Jonathan Teplitzky’s feature film The Railway Man, starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman. The internship is the prize of the NFSA ACS John Leake OAM Award for emerging cinematographers.

The announcement:

On Saturday 5 May, the National Film and Sound Archive’s CEO Michael Loebenstein will present aspiring cinematographer Jimmy Ennett with the 2012 NFSA-ACS John Leake OAM Award for an Emerging Cinematographer.

The award, designed to enable emerging cinematographers to develop their craft, will be presented at the Australian Cinematographers Society annual awards; the only Australian event which celebrates Australians who have excelled in the field of cinematography.
