Zenith’s chief digital officer Geraldine McDonagh resigns
The chief digital officer at Zenith Australia, Geraldine McDonagh, is set to depart the agency.
Although McDonagh’s role will not be directly replaced, Zenith has promoted its head of performance Mark Johnson to the role of head of digital.

McDonagh will depart the agency later this month
McDonagh joined Zenith in 2014 as its head of search and was promoted to head of digital operations a year later.
She leaves the agency to “look for a new challenge” within the marketing and media industry.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the last four years at Zenith, building out and refining the digital proposition to ensure we are delivering ROI for our clients,” McDonagh said in a statement.
“I leave the business in excellent shape, and I wish the team and Nickie every success for the future. It’s now time for me to build on the great experience I have gained at Zenith.”
Nickie Scriven, CEO at Zenith Australia, added: “With Geraldine’s departure we have an opportunity to recognise this great work and allow Mark to lead the entire digital team in Zenith Sydney and ensure we are well prepared for the future in this constantly evolving media landscape.
“I’d like to thank Geraldine for all of her hard work and commitment to Zenith. She will be missed by the executive team and the broader agency and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”

Johnson starts his new role on June 28
Speaking of his promotion, Johnson said Zenith has a great offering and a strong digital team.
“With the agency’s focus on ROI and marketing-led growth, we are well placed and I’m excited to lead the team in Sydney to deliver results for our clients.”
A search for Johnson’s replacement as head of performance is underway.
Congratulations Mark!
