1.5m tune in to see Benjamin win Big Brother

Nine’s final episode of Big Brother saw 1.473m people tune in for the winner announcement, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTAM.

However, the numbers were down on the opening episode of the reality show which rated 1.618m after being heavily promoted during Nine’s Olympics coverage.

It’s likely the final number will be revised downwards slightly because the live show overran into the next program, Embarrassing Bodies which rated 974,000.

The first part of Big Brother, which featured the contestants’ final hours in the house, averaged 1.26m.
