2GB shakes up offpeak lineup
Talk radio station 2GB has unveiled the biggest shakeup of its schedule in six years, while stilll remaining firmly focused on its baby boomer audience.
The AM station – owned by Macquarie Radio Network – is the most listened to in Sydney, driven by Alan Jones’ morning show.
MRN chairman Russell Tate said the introduction of the new lineup over the next couple of months amounts to 40 hours per week of new programming. He said: “The launch of any new radio program is a significant achievement, to be announcing the launch of 10 new programs for an existing radio station I believe is unprecedented.”
