303 MullenLowe has officially shed the global network from its masthead, rebranding simply to “303” in a shift that appears to leave the locally owned shop largely untouched by Omnicom’s sweeping dismantling of legacy IPG brands.
Considered a return to its origins as an independent business, 303 opened its doors in Perth in 1991 and was acquired back in 2011 via IPG agency Lowe. It subsequently added the Mullenlowe name in January 2016.
In mid-2021, Mumbrella revealed that Interpublic Group “sold a majority of its stake” in the agency to New Zealand-based holding company, Attivo, which retained the MullenLowe brand through a joint‑venture arrangement with IPG.
