96 FM brings Fred Botica and Lisa Shaw back to radio to replace ‘Paul & Lise’
After cancelling Paul Hogan and Lisa Fernandez’s ‘Paul & Lise’ breakfast show last week during the mid-year survey break, 96 FM has revealed its new breakfast hosts.
Veterans Fred Botica and Lisa Shaw will be returning to airwaves for Botica’s Bunch for Breakfast, which kicked off this morning.
Botica and Shaw had both previously retired from radio but are coming back to 96 FM
I yearn for the magic days of 96fm# in the 80s with the classic line up of Bob Stewart, Phil Lear, Bill Ali, John Hood, Kevin Newman etc. And of course Murray Dickson.
Well it’sfantastic to see the BUNCH back on air. It wasn’t hard to switch stations, now all you need is Captain Paul………

Yes agree 96.1 fm was amazing in the 80s
but at least we have the morning crew back and hopefully captain Paul will come across
Seriouisly !!! I cant Believe what I’m listening too. Fred and Lisa should have stayed retired. It has been a huge downhill slide for 96FM since they got rid of Carmen and Fitzzie. In my opinion this was the best, funniest and most uplifting breakfast show ever. i used to get too work 35mins early everyday just so i didn’t miss certain parts of their show. i would have much preferred 96 Fm to have brought them back instead, there was absolutely nothing wrong with 96 fm until that and It has me seriously doubting my loyalty to 96Fm. Bad Choice
My god. Botica is a smug, self serving name dropper. His co host could be replaced with Siri. But what do you expect when he was a rookie dj calling Mozart’s first tune? Love the music. Carmen and Fitzi were so Perth. Easy to listen to and enjoy. Lisa and the other one were ok. All better than the drive home twits.
6FM No offence to the new hosts as they are good and professional.. but Paul & Lisa were funny, refreshing and made you want to listen to 96FM.
You have made some changes which have not always been favorable for 96FM, such as removing Fitzzie and team years ago.
96FM have made a change, so will I and go to another radio station
Fred and Lisa are too dull for morning breakfast. If the station wasnt doing very well before, it will be doing even worse now.

Everyone keeps harping on about bringing back radio royalty and how great their chemistry is.
This show has become more like amateur hour with retiree’s from an old ABC radio station.
I can barely listen to breakfast radio anymore. I just wait out for the breakfast show to finish now, so I can just listen to the music.

When Lisa Shaw quit radio it was the best thing ever. No more whiney voice and fake laugh. They should drop these big breakfast and drive shows and just play good music. Cut the chit chat and play. Will be cheaper and better for the listeners
So disappointed that Lise and Paul are gone. They were by far the best morning show compared to the other stations. Now that they’re gone I’ve tuned out, can’t stand Boticas bunch. 96 fm you need to move with the times if you want to be in the race..
