‘A disposable dish rag’: Meshel Laurie attacks her treatment by Nova as she starts Kiis show
Melbourne radio host Meshel Laurie has taken aim at her former employer Nova on social media claiming they treated her ” like a disposable dish rag and a fool.”
Laurie, who begins her new show on rival station KiisFM in Melbourne today, last night took to Facebook to take a shot at the media company.
“After 13 years with the Nova radio network, during which I was part of 3 number 1 shows including National drive, and then treated like a disposable rag and a fool, I start a new job tomorrow at KIIS FM 101,” Laurie wrote.
Well Chrissie swan has many lives
An FM radio suit talking up “quality of content” in her latest team of alleged funsters thrown into the struggling breakfast slot …..what’s not to believe?
I guess Meshel isn’t going back to Nova once Kiis do the exact same thing. Radio is a brutal place.
Good luck!
Yawn….
Is there anything Meshel doesn’t complain about!? Maybe radio, or for that matter, the ‘entertainment’ industry just isn’t for her.
When she left Nova Brisbane, Laurie trashed the station, her colleagues and the city itself. Now she’s left Nova she’s trashed her colleagues again.
Is she of the opinion that her supposed talent can’t be replaced in a second?
Meshel Laurie is supposed to be buddhist, let it go girl. I have worked with her and found her to be great… until she didn’t need you anymore – much like a disposable rag I suppose.
I’ve listened to Meshel complain on air about the studios that were kindly offered up to her breakfast show during the Brisbane floods, and then ignore my ‘hello’ in the stairwell like I was a dish rag. My opinion of her and her ‘talent’ for that matter, are not stratospheric.
you can’t buy class
Don’t much about your provincial Melbourne radio, but here in Sydney Wendy Harmer is killing it.
Sounds like a case of sour grapes on the part of Laurie. I didn’t think her show on Nova was that great anyway.
Who?
