A terrible few days for AI bots, Bunnings, and SCA

Bunnings and Southern Cross Austereo have both been forced to issue red-faced apologies after artificial intelligence made a complete mess of various tasks that had been delegated to it.

On Friday morning, Dylan Hogarth, a journalist with Adelaide paper The Advertiser, was surprised to learn that he fled Queen Elizabeth Hospital on foot, wearing a hospital gown, after attacking police officers with a hammer.

News of the “huge police search” for Hogarth was peppered across six bulletins on Triple M and SAFM. “Thirty-six-year-old Dylan Hogarth fled on foot last night. Police say if you see him, call triple-zero immediately”, the report said.
