ABC announces ‘expanded role’ for leading presenter

ABC News journalist and presenter Patricia Karvelas will expand her television roles and responsibilities in 2025 which will see her leave radio after ten years.

Karvelas is saying farewell to Radio National after over 10 years with the network – seven of which were spent with RN Drive and three with RN Breakfast.

She is due to take on a key anchoring role on the ABC News Channel in 2025, as well as a new politics podcast. She will continue to present Q+A and weekly political wrap The Party Room.

Now that Scomo’s nominee and some say Murdoch’s plant Ita has gone, is the new ex Murdoch staffer still going in a similar direction as Ita or might we see the ABC turn away from that tabloid style?
